International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM) hosted the American Advanced Materials Congress (AAMC) from February 26 to March 1, 2024, in Miami, USA. This 58th assembly of the Advanced Materials Congress (AMC) brings together the IAAM Fellow Summit, various symposia, and the Advanced Materials Lecture Series, offered in both Onsite and Online LIVE Hybrid formats. With a commitment to driving innovation towards a climate-neutral future, IAAM has been recognized by the United Nations for its contributions to climate and water initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. Noteworthy participation in global events such as the UN Water Conference and COP28 underscores IAAM’s dedication to advancing discussions on climate-efficient materials and greenhouse gas reduction. The congress, featuring presentations from over 20 countries across all continents, highlights 14 thematic sessions led by 26 experts and includes 50 talks focusing on cutting-edge research in fields like Quantum Science & Technology, Membrane Science, and Drug Delivery & Tissue Engineering, all aimed at advancing sustainable development goals and fostering a green world for future generations.

59th assembly of the Advanced Materials Congress (AMC), which was scheduled from 25 – 27, March 2024, in Stockholm, Sweden. This 59th assembly of the AMC united the Advanced Functional Materials Congress, Advanced Energy Materials and Technology Congress, IAAM Fellow Summit, and Advanced Materials Lecture Series together. Most importantly, sessions on carbon sequestration technologies, policy frameworks, international collaborations, and workshops on energy and innovations framed for sustainability and a climate-neutral perspective were included.

      Advanced Materials Congress is intended to outline an demanding discussions and collaborations among participants, to improve and enlarge the knowledge of advanced research, and to surge innovation and awareness for the technological needs in the areas of functional and energy materials, engineering and technology among the global experts. An International Scientific Carnival to create cross disciplinary World R&D Links and consortiums in Health, Energy, and Environment. The opening ceremony and IAAM awards were celebrated in both the onsite and online LIVE formats. With abstracts submitted from approximately 15 countries, the congress showcased presentations from four continents, comprising 13 thematic sessions led by 24 esteemed experts, and encompassing 39 talks over three days. These sessions delved into cutting-edge research and innovations across a spectrum of fields, especially in areas like Battery Materials, Ceramics, and Dielectric Materials, Biological and Biocompatible Materials, Smart Materials, Micro and Nanostructured Materials, and Analytical Methods & Spectroscopy, among others, all aimed at addressing sustainable development goals and fostering a green world for future generations.

European Advanced Materials Congress  |  26 – 28, August 2024, Stockholm, Sweden

The European Assembly of the Advanced Materials Congress (AMC) was held in Stockholm, Sweden, the city of the Nobel Prize, August 26 – 28, 2024. In conjunction with the IAAM Fellows Summit, the Congress presented key sessions on recent advances in materials R&D and their applications in health, energy, and climate, as well as policy frameworks for international cooperation that support sustainability and net-zero goals. The sessions and symposia of this Congress were held in a live hybrid format, both onsite and online.

The 60th Congress of the AMC saw keynote addresses, invited, oral and poster presentations, including the opening ceremony and the presentation of the IAAM Prize. Attracting significant attention, it has received 316 abstracts from 39 countries and offers 24 thematic sessions (13 onsite and 11 online), including a water conference led by 47 eminent expert chairs, and includes 124 talks over three days. These sessions focus on cutting-edge research in various fields including green energy, biosensors, nanomaterials and a range of other materials including functional, polymer, electronic, optical, catalytic, ceramic, biomaterial, computational, manufacturing, structural, surface, interface, water and environmental. Biological materials, smart materials, micro- and nanostructured materials were also discussed at the Congress, which aims to meet the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and promote a greener world for future generations.

The goal of the AMC is to provide a forum for intense debate and teamwork to expand their knowledge and understanding about advancements of materials for use in high-end research and new technology. AMC is committed to investigating the latest advancements in cleantech innovations. The Advanced Materials Congress aims to convene researchers to drive technology toward achieving a circular and climate-neutral future.

Baltic Assembly of Advanced Materials Congress
29 – 31 October 2024, Stockholm, Sweden

The Baltic Assembly of the Advanced Materials Congress (AMC) organized by the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM), held in Stockholm, Sweden, the city of the Nobel Prize. This event also served as the 62nd assembly of the Advanced Materials Congress, which took place from October 29 – 31, 2024. This assembly was an interdisciplinary forum designed to foster collaboration among professionals from academia, industry, policymakers and governance. The conference emphasized advancements in translational research, technological innovations, and their commercialization, with a particular focus on how these innovations aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) and Net-Zero commitments, contributing to a climate-neutral society.

The 62nd assembly of AMC featured keynote, invited, oral, and poster presentations, along with the
IAAM Fellow Summit. The congress received 241 abstracts from 26 countries and offered 15 thematic
sessions, led by 30 esteemed expert chairs, comprising 70 talks over three days. With R&D World Links,
IAAM created ‘Consortium on Net Zero Materials’ for expedite sustainable materials research and green technology. In this consortium, IAAM launched net zero heteropolar graphene for potential translational research and development. The congress also endorsed the role of materials to achieve Sustainability, Net-Zero and Climate Neutrality Goals fostering a green world for future generations.

International Conference on Translational Research and Innovation (ICTRI 2024)

To promote academic exchange on the transformation and innovation of achievements in the foundational fields of advanced materials, green energy and intelligent manufacturing, Chengdu University and the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM) are jointly hosting the International Conference onTranslational Research and Innovation (ICTRI 2024) – special focus on Low-carbon Novel Materials on November 19, 2024, at Chengdu University. The conference focuses on the theme of “Low Carbon Materials, Advanced Manufacturing, and Healthy Sustainable Development.” This event builds upon the strategic cooperation agreement signed between Chengdu University and IAAM in 2019, as well as the planning goals of the IAAM 2030 Agenda for Scientific Research and Translational Innovation in the fields of energy and health. From 2021 to 2023, Chengdu Universityand IAAM successfully hosted three International Conferences on Translational Research and Innovation, providing a broad platform for researchers from universities and research institutions both domestically and internationally. The conference encourages international experts in, but not limited to, fields such as materials science, nanotechnology, biomedical engineering, energy and environmental science, advanced manufacturing, and artificial intelligence to participate and engage inacademic exchanges.
