Questions people ask
Is IAAM Week held online too?
No. IAAM Week is an in-person event; there is no virtual pass.
Do I need to be an IAAM member?
No. Everyone is welcome. IAAM members, Fellows and medallists receive a discount on registration.
Can I attend without the days at sea?
Yes. Your registration covers the whole event, Monday 9 to Friday 13 August, including every session on land and on board. The sea pass is booked separately and covers your cabin and meals on board. If you skip the cruise, you can still attend the welcome on Monday and the Grand Programme Day on Tuesday, but you will miss the onboard sessions on 11–12 August. The registration fee is the same either way.
Do I need a visa?
Sweden and Finland are in the Schengen area, so one Schengen visa covers the whole week. Registered delegates can download an invitation letter in Lattice.
What do I need on board?
A valid passport or national ID card, which is checked when you board.
Will I get a certificate?
Yes. Your certificate of attendance, and your presentation certificate if you present, are available in Lattice after the event.
What language is IAAM Week in?
English.
Can I change or cancel my registration?
Yes. You can transfer your registration to a colleague. If you cancel, the registration fee is refunded at 75% more than 3 months before the event, 50% up to 2 months before, 25% up to 1 month before, and not after that. Sea pass, hotel and other bookings are refunded at 50% more than 3 months before the event. See the registration terms.
Are there other IAAM Week editions?
Yes. IAAM Week Asia-Pacific comes to Kuala Lumpur in December 2027, Japan in 2028 and Australia in 2029, and IAAM Week America to Newark, New Jersey, in 2028 and 2029. See all editions and dates.
Is the venue accessible?
We make every reasonable effort to make the venue and the ship accessible. Tell us about your needs when you register and we will help.
Who do I contact with a question?
